The National Association Of Okun Students (NAOS) has elected Comrade Sunday Oni David as 2014 National President.

After a well conducted, peaceful, freest and fairest NAOS election conducted on the 11th of January, 2014 at Demonstration Primary School, Kabba, Comrade Sunday Oni David and Comrade Obanibi Michael emerged as National President and National Senate President respectively.

The election started on the Saturday 11th January 2014 and was concluded on Sunday 12th January 2014. The Electoral Committee Chairman, Comrade Obasun Emmanuel while announcing the results clearly stated the number of votes cast. According to him, 60 numbers of vote was cast all together; 30 votes from Yagba federal constituency and 30 votes from Kabba/Bunu/Ijumu federal constituency. Comrade Sunday Oni David, out of the total valid 60 votes, polled 40 votes while his opponent polled 20 votes.

Comr. Obanibi Micheal, out of the total 60 votes, polled 37 votes, his co-contender  had 18 votes while 5 votes was announced invalid due to multiple thumb printing.

Other elected officials are; Iseolurunkanmi Fredrick Deji as Financial Secretary, Faoni Tosin Sunday as Vice President, and Omosunna Toyin Olakunle as Director of socials.

The counting of votes was openly done under a careful monitoring of the aspirants agents, accredited observers and the Nigeria Police. The incumbent National President, Comrade Gbenga Emmanuel Adeyemi thanked the Almighty God, all the delegates, the students, the Police and stakeholders present for their support and contribution towards the success of the convention. He also pleaded with those who lost to join hands together and support the union, noting that in Unity we stand, Divided we fall. He also used the ground to invite all well meaning Okun Students to the inauguration of the newly elected executives on the 22nd of February, 2014.
