The Kogi State government has disbursed over N250 million car and vehicle refurbishing loans to about 500 civil servants in the state.
Governor Idris Wada, who disclosed during the 2013 Civil Service Day celebration, said civil service is the engine room of his administration and that through the cooperation of workers, his administration would propel the state to greatness.
Wada, who was represented by the state Head of Service, Dr Moses Atakpa, said the cheques distributed to beneficiaries mark the beginning of the first phase of the loan disbursement exercise, adding that the gesture was aimed at boosting productivity in tandem with the transformation agenda of the state government.
