Well over 6,000 Kogi graduates have applied for 500 teaching jobs at Kogi State Teaching Service Commission.

This figure was given by the Chairman of the Commission, Chief Sylvester Onoja who assured applicants that the recruitment would be transparent.

Onoja disclosed that the baseline is that all those that would be recruited must be computer literate because the idea is to have teachers that are familiar with modern tools of communications, teaching and learning.

He said all applications would be thoroughly screened and only those shortlisted would be invited to write the aptitude test to be conducted by a national examination body. After that, successful candidates would be invited for a rigorous interview.
