The new week began on a bad note for the well loved Grace FM radio station as fire destroyed their studio around 5am this morning.
An insider told Kogireports.com that staff on duty had slept off when an electrical fault from air conditioners led to a huge fire outbreak in the studio. The staff woke up as the resultant smoke grew thicker. They ran out immediately and alerted relevant authorities.
The fire reportedly damaged everything in the news studio. Not even a needle was recovered from the loss but no life was lost.
The governor of Kogi State, Captain Idris Wada and his deputy, Arc. Yomi Awoniyi visited the station to sympathise with the management and staff of the effective radio station.
