Wada Returns: Information Technology Made the Task of Governance Easier While The Governor Was Away – Awoniyi

Kogi State Deputy Governor, Yomi Awoniyi, has described as remarkable the wonderful reception the people accorded Capt Idris Wada, the State Governor on his return to the state after surviving the ghastly motor accident he had last year.

The Deputy Governor described Capt Wada as a man of faith, whose rate of speedy recovery was a testament to the burning desire he had for the rapid transformation of the State.

Awoniyi in a chat with News Men, said the advent of Information Technology made the task of governance easier while the Governor was away, as he was constantly in touch with the governor receiving directives that helped placed the State on sound pedestal on issues of administration thus making governance not challenging for him.

According to Awoniyi, “though the Governor had a broken leg in the accident, he had a sound mind which helped greatly in the governance of the state”, appealed to the people of the state to join hands with the governor in his transformation agenda.

While describing the incidence of December 28 2012 as a miracle, he expressed joy that the governor sees the episode as a fillip to re dedicate himself to the service of the state.

Awoniyi, commended the zeal with which Capt Wada is pursuing the rice program initiatives in the state, said the impact of the program has attracted the attention of the Federal Government,a feat he noted is geared towards food sufficiency, security and employment generation in the State.
