“Security of Lives and Properties In Kogi State Will Remain Top On My Agenda” – Gov Wada

Security of lives and property in Kogi State will remain top on the agenda of Capt. Idris Wada’s administration.

The State Governor, made the disclosure that except for some pocket of insecurity breech, the State has remained largely peaceful.

Capt. Idris Wada stated this when he received Commandant, Julius Onibiyo, Provost Training College of the Nigerian Civil Defence and Security Corps Abuja, who was on an advocacy visit to the State.

Capt. Wada who was Represented by his Deputy, Yomi Awoniyi, said with the strategic location of the State as a gateway, the need to be security conscious has remained top on its agenda.

The State Governor commended the role played by NSCDC in assisting the State when flood ravaged the State as well as in curbing pipeline vandalisation.

Wada promised to look into the request made by the NSCDC for an armoury, also said Government will speed up their request for training assistance and accommodation.

In his speech, the Commandant, Julius Onibiyo, disclosed that his Command in the State is committed to putting vandals at bay as well as protecting vital infrastructures in the State.

He solicited State Government support in building an armoury for the Command as well as in training his men in Arms handling, commended the logistics and funding support the corps has enjoyed from the State Government.
