Kogi Govt Charges Parent on Child’s Upbringing

An appeal has gone to parents to bring up their children to be God fearing so as to become responsible citizens to the nation.

The Kogi State Deputy governor, Arc Yomi Awoniyi, made the appeal when he paid a condolence visit to the Kogi State Chief judge, Justice Nasiru Ajanah,over the death of his mother, Hajia Sadatu Ajanah.

Arc yomi Awoniyi, said the task of bringing up children who will be patriots and future leaders of the nation now lies with the parents and the government.

He called on parents not to relinquish their parental roles to the schools and house helps, rather it should be a collaborative effort .

The Deputy Governor said, Mama Sadatu, lived a worthy and inspiring life by virtue of the contributions of her children to the society among whom is the state chief judge, added that she brought up her children to be responsible citizens to the state and nation.

While the state government,Arc Awoniyi disclosed, mourn with heartfelt sympathy the passing away of mama Sadatu,whom he said testimonies abound about her good deeds as a disciplinarian,a kind hearted woman,and was a loving mother.

Arc Yomi Awoniyi,who stood in for the state Governor,Capt Idris Wada,sympathized with the whole Ajanah  family,urged them to be consoled by their late mothers good deeds as testified by every one who spoke at the funeral prayer.

The Deputy Governor,urged the children she left behind to take solace in the legacies of their mother and prayed God to grant them the courage to bear the loss.

Speaking on behalf of the family,Justice Ajanah, described their late mother as a caring mother who will be greatly missed for her positive impact on their lives.

Mama Sadatu died at the age of 74,is survived by her five children and grand children.
