The active group that fired a disturbing petition against the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Captain Idris Wada, Kogi Patriots recently challenged all PDP members who contested and lost the recent primaries in Kogi state to seek legal redress.
This was made known by the president of the group, Mohammed Idris, in a press statement. The statement said it won’t be in the best interest of the Kogi people for any member of the PDP to act in hasty manner or even incite violence.
He noted that the contentious issue of the PDP flag bearer for the forthcoming governorship election in the state is not yet complicated. He advised all PDP supporters to remain calm despite the controversy caused by the primaries.
He said the position of the state PDP leadership is only a preliminary recommendation to the PDP headquarters in Abuja. He added that the decision process is still going on and that it would be too hasty to conclude that the PDP leadership will take a decision that would not be in the interest of the majority of its supporters in Kogi State.
