As political realignments and strategic consultations gather momentum ahead of Nigeria’s 2027 general elections, Mrs. Gloria Funto Omoyele of Supreme Blessedness International Go Ltd has declared her unequivocal support for the Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC) senatorial candidate for Kogi West, Muyiwa Adedokun Fatosa, describing him as the most suitable candidate to champion the district’s aspirations for purposeful leadership, sustainable development and effective representation at the National Assembly.

Gloria, in her endorsement, portrayed Fatosa as a formidable emerging political force whose youthful dynamism, grassroots acceptability, professional competence and extensive political exposure distinguish him among contenders seeking to represent Kogi West in the Senate in 2027.

According to her, the senatorial district stands at a defining political crossroads that demands a departure from conventional political representation towards visionary, responsive and results-oriented leadership.

“Muyiwa Adedokun Fatosa represents the leadership qualities Kogi West deserves at this critical moment in our political evolution. He is youthful, intellectually equipped, politically exposed and deeply connected to the aspirations of ordinary people. I strongly believe he is the best candidate to represent Kogi West in 2027,” Omoyele declared.

A Grassroots Political Figure with National Credentials

A proud son of Isanlu in Yagba East Local Government Area of Kogi State, Fatosa has built a profile spanning student unionism, strategic communications, information technology, political administration and humanitarian engagement.

His leadership journey began during his student years, when he served as President of the Isanlu Students Union in 2007. He subsequently occupied the leadership positions of President of the Okun Students Union and President of the Kogi Students Union at Delta State University (DELSU).

Professionally, Fatosa is a media and strategic communications consultant and Principal Partner of Muyiano Limited. His career also includes experience as an IT Project Manager at SunTrust.

His political credentials include serving as Special Assistant on Media to Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, National Leader of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), and as Head of Conventional Media for the NNPP during the 2023 presidential election campaign.

In September 2025, he was appointed a member of the Advisory Board of the Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Leadership Centre, further strengthening his leadership profile.

Beyond politics and professional accomplishments, Fatosa has demonstrated commitment to educational advancement through scholarship support for indigent students across Okunland.

A Development Agenda Anchored on Economic Prosperity

Gloria particularly applauded Fatosa’s proposed legislative agenda, which prioritises economic empowerment, infrastructural renewal, agricultural development, technological innovation, digital economic opportunities, quality education and accessible healthcare.

She maintained that Kogi West requires a senator capable of connecting grassroots development priorities with national policy opportunities, legislative interventions and strategic partnerships.

According to her, Fatosa possesses the professional background and political understanding required to pursue these objectives while ensuring that the voices of constituents remain central to legislative decision-making.

She further recalled the August 2026 endorsement of Fatosa by the Okun Artisan Movement (OAM) in Kabba, whose members described him as a young, vibrant grassroots politician with national and international exposure.

Gloria described that endorsement as a significant expression of confidence from a constituency of hardworking artisans and grassroots stakeholders who understand the importance of practical economic empowerment.

An Open-Door Senator for the People

Speaking on the leadership qualities she expects Fatosa to bring to the Senate, Gloria emphasised accessibility, accountability, transparency and continuous engagement with constituents.

She expressed confidence that his proposed open-door representation would provide opportunities for citizens, particularly young people, women, farmers, artisans, entrepreneurs and vulnerable communities, to participate meaningfully in decisions affecting their future.

“Kogi West deserves a senator who will not become inaccessible after winning an election. We need a representative who listens, consults, remains accountable and treats the welfare of constituents as a sacred responsibility. I believe Muyiwa Adedokun Fatosa has the capacity and determination to provide that kind of leadership,” she stated.

Gloria consequently called on eligible voters and political stakeholders across the seven local government areas of Kogi West—Kabba/Bunu, Ijumu, Mopamuro, Yagba East, Yagba West, Lokoja and Kogi—to give serious consideration to Fatosa’s candidacy and development agenda.

She maintained that the 2027 senatorial election presents an opportunity for the district to redefine its political priorities and demand measurable dividends of democracy.

“The future of Kogi West must be built on competence, credibility, innovation and genuine commitment to the people. In Muyiwa Adedokun Fatosa, I see a promising bridge between grassroots aspirations and effective national representation,” Funto added.

Her endorsement adds to the expressions of support surrounding Fatosa’s senatorial ambition as political activities intensify ahead of the 2027 elections.

For Gloria, the ultimate measure of political leadership should not be the prominence of a candidate’s name but the depth of their vision, the strength of their character and their willingness to remain answerable to the people.
