The Presidential Campaign Council of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has appointed Kogi State party chieftain David Shola Aiyedogbon, a lawyer, to its Directorate of Legal.
The appointment was contained in a supplementary list of the Council’s members, signed by the party’s National Secretary, Senator Surajudeen Ajibola Basiru.
Aiyedogbon, popularly known as “Charvid,” is a Kogi-born lawyer, politician and businessman.

Reacting to the appointment, he thanked the Council for finding him worthy and pledged to justify the confidence placed in him by working for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. He also predicted a landslide victory for the APC in the 2027 general election.
Aiyedogbon has held several roles in the party’s campaign structures. In 2019, he was Director-General of the Kogi West Campaign Council during the re-election bid of then-Governor Yahaya Bello, a task he reportedly delivered with a 100 per cent result.
In 2023, he served as Deputy Director-General of the Tinubu/Shettima Campaign Council in Kogi State. He was also Director-General of the campaign council for Kogi West Senatorial District.
A grassroots politician, Aiyedogbon was an aspirant in the 2022 APC primary election for the Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency.
A retired civil servant, he is Chairman of Charvid Group of Companies and Principal Partner of Charvid Law Office.
He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Management and the Nigerian Bar Association. He is also a Fellow of the Certified National Accountants, the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria, the Chartered Certified Forensic Accountant/Auditor body and the Chartered Certified Fraud Investigator body.
