Tensions have reached a boiling point in the political landscape of Yagba Federal Constituency as prominent chieftain, High Chief David Dare Olatunde, firmly debunked widespread speculation regarding his alleged surrender and secret peace pact with the incumbent House of Representatives member, declaring that the ‘Mopamuro Lokan’ agitation remains an unyielding crusade for justice.

The fiery clarification came through a hard-hitting press statement issued by his Personal Assistant and Spokesperson, La’Niyi Africa, who dismissed circulating reports of a reconciliatory meeting as mere political fabrication designed to mislead the electorate.

High Chief Olatunde, who holds the revered titles of Maiyegun of Isanlu Kingdom and Akogun of Takete-Ide, maintained that no amount of political pressure, financial inducement, or entrenched incumbency would derail the struggle to secure the federal legislative seat for Mopamuro.

Addressing the core philosophy of the movement, the statement stressed that the demand for power shift is rooted in equity, fairness, and democratic inclusion rather than personal animosity toward any individual or political structure.

High Chief Olatunde warned against turning political leadership into the permanent property of a single dynasty or community, insisting that the rotation of power within Yagba Federal Constituency must be respected if true unity is to be maintained.

The communique challenged critics to answer when Mopamuro’s legitimate aspiration would ever be realized if the current status quo persists, emphasizing that incumbency must not automatically translate to perpetual political occupancy.

Reaffirming his unwavering commitment to the cause, High Chief Olatunde declared that the struggle is a stand against political hegemony, urging the electorate to ensure that principles, rather than fear or money, dictate the future representation of the constituency.
