Senator Isah Jibrin (Echocho) has commenced the construction of an Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Centre in Ankpa Local Government Area of Kogi State. The target is to expand more access to modern technology and empower young people with digital skills.
The project is intended to equip youths with access to ICT facilities and opportunities to acquire relevant technological skills that can support their education, entrepreneurship, career development, and participation in the digital economy.
The Centre is expected to create a platform where young people can develop their capacities and pursue various opportunities made possible by advances in information and communication technology.
Senator Isah Jibrin indicated that the ICT Centre project is intended to be extended across the three federal constituencies in Kogi East, with Ankpa Federal Constituency serving as the starting point
The ICT Centre in Ankpa, when completed, will mark the beginning of digital inclusion and broadens access to technology-driven opportunities among youths across the district.
