Ahead of the 2027 general elections, the Kogi State chapter of the City Boy Movement has intensified its political coordination and grassroots drive following the inspection of its newly acquired state secretariat located directly opposite the Kogi State Government House in Lokoja.
The Senior Technical Advisor to Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo and Elder Advisory Council member of the group, Hon. Edime Godwin Amade (PhD), revealed Kogi state government’s readiness to collaborate with the movement,
Hon. Amade, during a visit to the new office to evaluate the facility prior to its official inauguration and map out strategic operations across the state, expressed confidence that a strong synergy between the state administration and the City Boy Movement would deliver a bumper harvest of votes for both President Tinubu and Governor Ododo in 2027.
He highlighted the need to move political engagement beyond social media into wards, polling units, and local communities.
The State Director of the movement, Chief Mark Okpanachi Ogah, described the new office as a milestone reflecting the growing organizational strength, structure, and acceptance of the group in Kogi State. He praised Barr. Seyi Tinubu for his visionary leadership in empowering youth-led political platforms, while expressing profound gratitude to Governor Ododo for providing adequate security and a peaceful atmosphere that enables political groups to thrive.
Chief Ogah emphasized that the strategically located office will function as a operational hub for planning, stakeholder engagement, and mobilization across all 21 local government areas of the state, driven by a commitment to advancing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda alongside Governor Ododo’s developmental initiatives.
In his remarks, Hon. Edime Amade commended Chief Ogah’s political capacity and discipline, noting that the movement’s rapid growth and heightened visibility demonstrate serious leadership capable of building bridges across youth and community lines. He stressed that the level of political access the group has generated for President Tinubu underscores its structural efficiency.
