The Kogi East Advocacy Forum for True Democracy has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for appointing Senator Isah Jibrin (Echocho) as a member of the Presidential Campaign Council, describing the appointment as a well-deserved recognition of his discipline, dedication, political commitment and outstanding performance across Kogi East.
In a statement issued by Eneojo Nurudeen, the public relations officer of the Forum, the pro-democracy group expressed appreciation to Mr President for entrusting the responsibility of mobilising support for his administration and political agenda in Kogi East to one of the district’s trusted and illustrious sons.
The Forum noted that Kogi East, being the most populous senatorial district in the state, occupies a strategic position in the political equation of Kogi State and deserves effective representation in the President’s campaign structure.
According to the forum, Senator Echocho’s appointment is a testament to his years of grassroots engagement, loyalty, accessibility and commitment to the development of communities across the senatorial district.
The group further stated that Senator Echocho’s numerous constituency projects and interventions across Kogi East, coupled with his extensive grassroots network, make him a popular and strategic choice for the assignment.
The Forum assured President Tinubu of the total commitment and support of the people of Kogi East, through their illustrious son, Distinguished Senator Jibrin Isah (Echocho), to the success of the President’s campaign and political agenda.
It added that Echocho’s appointment has further demonstrated that competence, loyalty, dedication, and performance remain important considerations in the President’s choice of political leaders and mobilisers.
The Kogi East Advocacy Forum for True Democracy therefore congratulated Senator Isah Jibrin on the appointment and expressed confidence that he would discharge the responsibility with distinction, while ensuring that the voice and aspirations of Kogi East remain strongly represented.
