The Lead Coordinator of PBAT Medic Plus Outreach, Prince Matthew James Avabee, has led a delegation to the Isolo office of the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) for a strategic collaboration meeting with the Director-General of the Agency, Prof. Mojisola Christiana Adeyeye.
The meeting brought together members of the PBAT Medic Plus team, the South-West Zonal Liaison Officer, Hon. Dominic Odigo Shanu, and other committee members from the zone. It centred on strengthening institutional collaboration in support of healthcare delivery and community-based medical interventions across the country.
Speaking at the meeting, Prince Avabee commended the NAFDAC Director-General for her commitment to strengthening Nigeria’s healthcare and regulatory systems, noting that her efforts align with the healthcare objectives of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

He briefed NAFDAC’s management on the vision and objectives of PBAT Medic Plus Outreach, particularly its planned free medical outreaches across 100 Federal Constituencies. The initiative is designed to provide medical consultations, screenings, health education, medications and referrals to underserved communities nationwide.

The delegation also sought NAFDAC’s support and collaboration for the initiative, including its plan to facilitate free health insurance coverage for thousands of older Nigerians, as part of its broader commitment to improving healthcare access for vulnerable populations.
Responding, Prof. Adeyeye, alongside senior directors and officials of NAFDAC, commended the initiative and expressed the Agency’s support for efforts aimed at expanding access to healthcare services across communities. She also highlighted the importance of the Federal Government’s healthcare agenda under President Tinubu, stressing the need for stronger partnerships among government institutions, organisations and community-based initiatives to improve healthcare delivery in the country.
The PBAT Medic Plus delegation used the opportunity to formally invite the NAFDAC Director-General and members of the Agency to the organisation’s forthcoming Grand Unveiling Ceremony, which will officially launch the initiative and its nationwide healthcare intervention programme.
The meeting marked an important step towards building a stronger partnership between PBAT Medic Plus Outreach and relevant healthcare institutions in advancing accessible and quality healthcare delivery across Nigeria.
