The Ohindere/Ida-Ovu youths have taken the initiative to repair the damaged New Zango Road. This grassroots effort has successfully filled dangerous potholes and smoothed rough surfaces, significantly improving daily commutes and easing movement for local motorists, traders, and pedestrians in the community.

Comrade Jimoh Aliyu Itopa and his team have implemented a temporary intervention to mitigate the damage on the new Zango road, just before The Tafari Hotels and Suites. This damage was caused by unchanneled water resulting from a newly constructed culvert by the State Government.

Comrade Aliyu joined the youths of Ohindere/Ida-Ovu to clear the sand blocking the culvert, which had previously prevented water from flowing through its normal channel. By clearing the blockage, they successfully restored the water’s natural flow and prevented further flooding and damage to the main road.

Mallam Haruna Akambi has commended the youths of New Zango in Adavi Local Government Area for their prompt intervention in repairing and clearing the local roads, ensuring the smooth movement of both residents and motorists.

A stakeholder from Ohindere Community, Prof. Musa Adeku Ibrahim, has lauded the former youth leader, Aliyu, for his continuous kindness and immense support to the community over the years.

He described Comrade Jimoh Aliyu Itopa as a youth with a passion for his community, noting that he has consistently proven to the people of New Zango that he has the interest of the masses at heart.

Prof. Adeku expressed his appreciation to the Treasurer of Ohindere Community, a business tycoon, Mr Olu Sule for his unwavering commitment to the community project.
