The empowerment programme, held on Monday in Lokoja, marked the fourth initiative organised by Adekoye this year as part of efforts to improve the livelihoods of youths and other vulnerable members of society.

Under the programme, 10 youths received cash grants of N200,000 each, amounting to N2 million, to establish or expand their businesses.

In addition, a young Tiller received a tile cutting machine instrument, while a physically challenged elderly woman was presented with a grinding machine to enhance their means of livelihood and promote economic self-reliance.

He noted that the intervention aligns with the youth empowerment agenda of the administration of Governor Ahmed Ododo and reaffirmed his commitment to supporting programmes that improve the socio-economic well-being of the people.

Adekoye said the empowerment programme was designed to further mobilise grassroots support for the continued leadership of President Bola Tinubu and Governor Ahmed Ododo in the forthcoming general elections

Adekoye urged the beneficiaries to make judicious use of the support provided, stressing that the intervention was aimed at improving their standard of living, creating employment opportunities and stimulating economic growth at the grassroots.
