Members of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) have unanimously endorsed Omoluabi Abayomi Bello as their preferred candidate for the House of Representatives seat representing the Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency.

Leaders, youth groups, women, and key party stakeholders from across Kogi West unanimously endorsed Bello at a meeting on Tuesday.

Participants from across the senatorial district urged Abayomi Bello in one collective voice to heed the call of his people and formally declare his candidacy. The stakeholders pledged total commitment to mobilizing votes and working tirelessly to ensure victory, asserting that the time has come for the constituency to be served by a representative of genuine capacity, integrity, and vision.

The endorsement meeting drew broad representation from diverse communities and demographics across the Kogi West senatorial district. Participants included community leaders, political elders, youth organisers, women groups, and card-carrying SDP members, all united by a shared conviction that Omoluabi Abayomi Bello is uniquely positioned to deliver meaningful development and real representation to the Kabba/Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency.

Stakeholders stressed that Bello’s strengths extend well beyond the conventional currency of electoral politics. His brilliance, accessibility, and strategic outlook, they argued, make him a candidate whose impact would benefit not only the constituency but the entire Kogi West zone.

Hon. Adebayo, popularly known as “Suka” and a widely respected political voice from Kogi West, set the tone for the evening with a rousing endorsement: “Omoluabi Abayomi Bello has everything it takes to win Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency. Beyond money politics, he is brilliant, accessible, and strategic. What benefits Kabba/Bunu/Ijumu also lifts Yagba — his victory is our collective gain.”

Mr. Sam Tope, a committed SDP stalwart from Yagba East, added a deeply personal appeal to the chorus of support: “We need him at this moment. We will stand with him. My wife works at General Hospital, Kabba and votes there — she, my household, and my community will vote for him. Omoluabi, please listen to our call. Destiny is calling.”

The passion of the crowd reached its height when Comrade Bebeto, the chief organiser of the gathering, issued a defiant rallying cry that resonated throughout the hall: “No retreat, no surrender! Omoluabi Abayomi Bello will listen to us and contest. We will beg him if we must, and he will hear the cry of his people. Kabba/Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency needs him now more than ever. He has the experience, the courage, and the heart to deliver. He can do it, and with God, he will do it.”

Speakers at the event were candid in their assessment that while sections of Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu may not yet fully appreciate the calibre of candidate before them, the Yagba axis has long recognised Bello’s worth. His track record of principled engagement, his capacity for governance, and his proven integrity were cited repeatedly as qualities that distinguish him from the field.

The stakeholders were unanimous: the structure is in place, the people are mobilised, and the political will is unambiguous. All that remains, they said, is for Omoluabi Abayomi Bello to answer the call.

The gathering closed with a resounding collective appeal to Bello, delivered with both urgency and optimism. “The people are ready. The structure is ready,” stakeholders declared. “Omoluabi Abayomi Bello, your constituency is calling. This is your moment. Come and lead us to #ÌgbàÓtúnDè.”
