Kogi United Football Club has urged State Government and football lovers for more support as it prepares for the Nigeria National League promotion playoff.
Team Manager, Mr. Michael Itodo Olachene, made the appeal while appreciating Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, State Ministry of Youth and Sports Development and fans for standing by the club during the Federation Cup campaign.
According to Olachene, Kogi United won the Kogi State Federation Cup and represented the state proudly at the national level but bowed out of the competition after a narrow 0-1 loss in their last match with Plateau United FC.
He said the players showed courage and discipline, and the club is not embarrassed by the result.
Mr. Olachene added that Kogi United FC will now focus on qualifying for the NNL, urging the government and supporters for the same backing as they push for promotion.
