Strong indications have emerged that the ongoing controversy surrounding the alleged forged Kogi West Senatorial Primary Election result is far from over, as fresh moves are reportedly being coordinated in Lokoja to undermine the official outcome of the May 18, 2026 APC primary election.

Party stakeholders said reliable information reaching them indicates that some party executives have allegedly been moved to Lokoja to participate in a planned press conference aimed at falsely presenting Hon. Sam Aro as winner of the primary election, despite his earlier withdrawal from the race and the officially declared emergence of Senator Sunday Karimi as consensus and duly elected candidate.

A source who craved anonymity said in another troubling development, the State Party Chairman from Kogi West Senatorial District is reportedly being pressured to issue statements discrediting the primary election process already concluded and accepted by all aspirants.

“Even more disturbing is the reported emergency invitation now extended by the Zonal Party Chairman of Kogi West to all Local Government APC Chairmen across the district to attend an urgent press conference, believed to be connected to the ongoing attempts to legitimise the forged result currently being circulated,” he said.

Stakeholders have described these developments as a dangerous continuation of the wider scheme to alter, manipulate, and politically weaponise forged primary election documents against the collective will of party members in Kogi West.

He insisted that all aspirants had earlier accepted Senator Sunday Karimi as consensus candidate, with both written and electronic evidences already in circulation confirming their positions. Political watchers therefore question the sudden desperation to reopen a matter many believed had already been peacefully resolved.

Concerned stakeholders are warning against any attempt to plunge the party into avoidable crisis through intimidation, coercion, or manufactured narratives capable of destabilising the growing unity within the APC in Kogi West.

Party faithful and supporters have therefore been urged to remain calm, vigilant, and committed to lawful democratic engagement while events continue to unfold.
