The Kogi State Commandant, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Aletan Olumide Ebenezer, has approved the deployment of 1,803 officers and men of the Command to provide security during this year’s Eidil Adha sallah celebration across the State.
In a statement signed by the command’s spokesperson, SC Abdullahi Aliyu, the deployment is in line with the NSCDC Commandant General’s directive to ensure a hitch-free celebration across the country not leaving any stone on turn across board.
The State Commandant tasked the Area Commanders to ensure proper security coordination of their areas, while Divisional Officers are to effectively mobilise their personnel across the board.

Commandant Aletan stressed that personnel are to be strategically deployed to worship centres, recreational facilities, markets, motor parks, critical infrastructure, and other vulnerable points across the 21 Local Government Areas of the state while charging officers to remain professional, civil, and proactive in the discharge of their duties.
He further directed that all component Commanders and all Special Forces are to be deployed to achieve a watertight security for maximum protection of lives properties and all critical national assets and infrastructure.
”Our resolve to guarantee peace, safety and protection of lives and critical assets in synergy with other security agencies remain sacrosanct and must be carried out through our collective inputs.
”For these obvious reasons, I have directed all area Commanders, Divisional officers with these responsibilities, therefore every one must brace up to discharge their responsibilities conscientiously without compromise” the Commandant stated.
He mandated all formations within the State Command to engage community stake holders in gathering credible and relevant intelligence and carry out composite surveillance before, during and after the celebration to prevent surprises from criminals.
Extending warm greetings to Muslim faithfuls nationwide and worldwide for a peaceful Eidil-Adha celebration, the Commandant offered prayers for a more tranquil Nigeria.
