Kogi State Commissioner for Education, Hon. Wemi Jones, has assured the ministry’s support for the anti-fraud campaign initiative.
He gave the assurance when the Kogi Anti-Fraud Campaign team paid him a courtesy visit in Lokoja on Wednesday.
The Commissioner described the initiative as timely and advised the team to place greater focus on secondary schools, noting that early engagement would have a stronger and more lasting impact.

He further assured the team of the Ministry’s cooperation and commitment throughout the implementation of the campaign.
Earlier, Hon. Oluseyi Kelvin Eleta, Senior Special Assistant to the Executive Governor of Kogi State on Fraud and Internet Matters, stressed the importance of the Ministry’s support and endorsement, noting that the campaign will move into schools across the state after the stakeholder consultation phase.
He highlighted the role of the education sector in shaping the orientation of young people and preventing involvement in fraudulent activities.
The team outlined plans to engage students at both secondary and tertiary levels through structured awareness programs aimed at addressing fraud, cybercrime, and responsible digital conduct.
In their remarks, Hon. Clement Daudu, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Private Education Institution, and Hon. Munirat Bint Ibrahim, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Women Entrepreneurship, commended the Commissioner for his proactive efforts in maintaining stability within the education sector in Kogi State. They also appreciated his openness to initiatives that add value to students’ development.
The visit forms part of ongoing engagements with key stakeholders to ensure effective delivery of the Kogi Anti-Fraud Campaign across the state.
