Kakanda Kingdom Mourns Illustrious Son, Captain Aliyu Umar

His Royal Highness Engr. Muhammad Faruk Kakanda, the Agankyu of the Kakanda Kingdom, has extended his deepest sympathy and heartfelt condolences following the demise of Captain Aliyu Umar, an illustrious son of the kingdom, whose loss is felt across the family, community, and nation.

The Royal Father, in a condolence message on Wednesday, describing the late Captain Umar as a patriot and a beacon of hope for the younger generation.

“The Kakanda Kingdom has been plunged into profound mourning,” he said.

He acknowledged Captain Umar’s immense contributions to national service and his unwavering dedication to the development and upliftment of the Kakanda people.

The monarch emphasized that the loss is not just for the family but for the entire kingdom, which has lost a true gem.

“Colonel Umar Aliyu Haji, a respected military officer, served the Nigerian Army with distinction, rising through the ranks with an exemplary record of service, bravery, and integrity.

“His career was marked by selflessness and a profound commitment to peace and security, attributes that earned him the admiration of colleagues and subordinates alike.He was a true soldier, always putting the nation first.

“Late Captain Umar was a man of impeccable character, a true leader, and a source of immense pride for the Kakanda Kingdom,” the Royal Father stressed.

“As we mourn this profound loss, we must also celebrate the remarkable life of Captain Umar Aliyu Haji,” the Agankyu urged. “His departure leaves a vacuum that will be difficult to fill, but his spirit and his indelible contributions will forever remain etched in the annals of our history. He has fought a good fight, he has finished his race, and he has kept the faith,” he added.

In a related development, the Agankyu condoled with the Giyan of of Kakanda Kingdom, Alh. Attahiru Mohammed, following the recent demise of his beloved mother, Hajiya Fatima Abdulrahman.

The revered monarch described Hajiya Fatima as a virtuous woman, a pillar of strength, and a devout mother whose life was dedicated to family and community.

“Hajiya Fatima Abdulrahman was a rare gem, a true mother in every sense of the word, whose gentle counsel and unwavering support were invaluable to her family and to our community,” HRH Engr. Muhammad Faruk Kakanda stated with solemn reflection. “Her legacy of kindness, devotion, and steadfast faith will continue to inspire us all for generations to come.”

“While we mourn her physical absence, we must also celebrate the impactful life Hajiya Fatima Abdulrahman lived,” the Agankyu urged. “Her memory will forever be a blessing, and her spirit will continue to guide and protect her loved ones. She has completed her earthly journey with grace and has returned to her Creator.”

The Agankyu therefore prayer for the peaceful repose the soul of both Aliyu Umar and late Hajiya Fatima Abdulrahman and divine strength and fortitude for their immediate family, relatives, and the entire Kakanda Kingdom to bear the irreparable loss as he assured the family of the palace’s continued support during this difficult period of grief.
