Ogori Students’ Repositions Its Union, Honours Prominent Town Union Leadership, Former Leaders of the Students Body

The Ogori Descendants Union (IDU) Global President, Rev. (Dr.) Gabriel Aiso, has been decorated as one of the recipients of the highest award of the Ogori Students Association reserved for selected prominent indigenes for their contributions to the social economic development of the area.

The ceremony was part of the one-week review, mainstream and reinvigorating session lined up activities of this age long association christened, the 2025 0SA Award Night and Talent Hunt held at the Civic Centre, Ogori in Ogori Magongo local government area. The December 2025 confab was not only apt but an ideal opportunity.

The National President, Comrade Oluwatoyosi Amurawaye, decorated all the awardees. According to him, the awardees can be best described as select indigenes of Ogori who in 2024 contributed immensely to the socio-economic development of the Ogori which he argued is “God’s own land”

The list of awardees included the National President of Ogori Descendant Union, Revd. (Dr.) Gabriel Aiso; the Global President of the Ogori Descendant Union; Mr. Ayokunle Jamgbadi; the former Vice President of the Ogori Descendant Union an education staff with the Federal Ministry of Education, Abuja and Dr. Reuben Ayeni as prominent youth motivator and role model from the area.

The 2025 OSA Award Night and Talent Hunt was part of the one-week activities lined-up by the students of the area tagged OSA 2025 HOMECOMING celebrations aimed at refocusing the students on good virtues and the promoting of unity in Ogori land.

The students of the Ogori land came together under this banner to refocus and reposition the association for excellence particularly in the area of unity and peace building in the area.

The National President, Comrade Oluwatoyosi Amurawaye in his concluding remarks at the event particularly commended Dr. Reuben Ayeni as a special role model for youth politeness and fairness. He insisted that his hard work and dedication are the key ingredients for societal growth.

He also praised Mr. Ayokunle Jamgbadi for his guidance and solidarity to the students assuring him that the student population would make him proud always.

On the part of the Revd Aiso’s leadership of the Ogori Descendants Union, the students promised to live up to expectation serving as one of its mobilization arm and support base.
