Leaders and stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ward D, Lokoja Local Government Area of Kogi State, on Tuesday held a stakeholders’ meeting aimed at strengthening unity within the party and sensitizing members on the ongoing APC e-registration exercise.
The meeting was held at the residence of the APC leader in the ward and Commissioner for Water Resources, Engineer Danladi Yahaya Farouk, who convened the gathering.
In his opening remarks,
Engineer Farouk said the meeting was called to unite party members at the grassroots and to encourage full participation in the ongoing e-registration process.
He expressed appreciation to APC supporters, particularly those in Ward D, for their continued support for the present administration under Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo.
The commissioner assured party leaders and members of the government’s determination to serve the people and deliver on its mandate.
Speaking at the meeting, the APC Chairman of Lokoja Local Government Area, Hon. Maikudi Bature, commended Engineer Farouk, whom he described as a respected leader within the party.
He assured the commissioner of the absolute loyalty of party members in the local government to his leadership.
Also speaking, the Senior Special Adviser to Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, Alhaji Muhammad Attati Bozy, said the objective of the meeting was to strengthen unity within the APC at the ward level.
He commended the commissioner for his foresight in convening the stakeholders’ meeting.
In his remarks, the APC Ward Chairman, Hon. Tijjani Usman, said the entire ward executive structure was solidly behind Engineer Farouk, describing him as the highest-ranking political office holder in the ward and the leader of the party in Ward D.
Similarly, Hon. Godfrey Adekoye, Senior Special Adviser to the governor, pledged loyalty to the commissioner, stressing that Ward D remained firmly behind him as its representative in the State Executive Council and reaffirmed support for Governor Ododo.
The meeting was attended by party leaders and stakeholders, including Hon. Maikudi Bature; Alhaji Muhammad Attati Bozy; Hon. Godfrey Adekoye; Alhaji Danasabe Sule (Garkuwa); Hon. Danasabe Idi, the Sarkin Fawa of Lokoja; representatives from all the polling units in Ward D; Alhaji Yunusa Amale; Hon. Tanimu Audu (representing Hon. Sulaiman Babadoko); Alhaji Bala Katume; Hon. Tanimu Lange, among others.
