Ododo’s Special Adviser, Adabara, Sets Stage for Inter-Ministerial Stakeholders Engagement

The Special Adviser to the Executive Governor of Kogi State on Inter-Governmental Affairs, Dr. Abdulrasheed Ovosi has recently paid a courtesy visit to the Honourable Minister of Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Affairs, Rt. Hon. Zaphaniah Jisalo, as part of strategic efforts to strengthen collaboration between Kogi State Government and Federal Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs).

During the meeting, Hon. Ovosi presented a draft strategic work plan for his office and sought the Minister’s guidance and technical support to enhance service delivery and improve inter-governmental coordination. He also briefed the Minister on plans by his office to convene a high-level Inter-Ministerial Stakeholders Engagement Meeting, aimed at connecting Federal MDAs, development partners, and the organized private sector with Kogi State MDAs to drive sustainable development outcomes.

The proposed engagement, themed “Leveraging Inter-Governmental Collaboration to Support MDAs in Kogi State,” is scheduled to be held on Monday, 9th February 2026, by 1:00 PM at the Banquet Hall, Government House, Lokoja.

The meeting is expected to focus on strengthening synergy across MDAs, mobilizing institutional and partner support, aligning development priorities, and promoting sustainability in governance and service delivery.

Hon. Ovosi emphasized the importance of leveraging the Ministry’s expertise to deepen collaboration with Federal MDAs and the diplomatic community in support of the developmental initiatives of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, in line with national development priorities.

In his response, Rt. Hon. Jisalo commended Hon. Ovosi for his proactive and innovative approach, describing the engagement as timely and strategic. He assured the Special Adviser of the Ministry’s full support for partnerships aligned with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda and the Ministry’s mandate.

The upcoming engagement is expected to provide a strategic platform for policy dialogue, institutional alignment, and strengthened partnerships towards improved service delivery and sustainable development in Kogi State.
