Senator Jibrin Isah (Echocho), representing Kogi East, has described the Ejeh of Dekina, Dr. Usman Obaje, as an amiable person and a team player.
The lawmaker, who joined other eminent personalities to celebrate the revered monarch’s 30 years on the throne, thanked the people of Dekina for giving Ejeh due respect.
He urged the Igala brothers and sisters to give traditional rulers their due respect, explaining that they are the representatives of God Almighty on earth.
He further advised all the Igala politicians to remain focused despite the unnecessary criticisms.
The lawmaker thanked the former Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, for his adequate recognition of the traditional institutions and the current governor, who is also up and running in that approach.
Senator Echocho congratulated Dr. Usman Obaje on the remarkable milestone and prayed his reign continued to bring peace, unity, and development to his people.
The event was graced by prominent figures, including the Executive Governor of Kogi, Dr. Ahmed Usman Ododo, represented by his Deputy, Comrade Joel Salifu Oyibo.
Traditional leadership was also present, with the Attah Igala represented by His Royal Highness, Alhaji Akwu Obaje, the Ejeh Ofu among other monarchs.
Additionally, the Auditor General of Kogi State, Alhaji Yusuf Okala; the Executive Chairman of Dekina Local Government, Hon. John Urah Ikani; Kogi State APC Zonal Chairman, Hon. Ogwu Hassan; the chief book launcher, Alhaji Zakari Yakubu; State Assembly Members, as well as Special Advisers and Senior Special Assistants, attended this significant occasion.
