Rt. Hon. Leke Joseph Abejide, member representing Yagba East, Yagba West and Mopamuro Federal Constituency in the National Assembly, has congratulated his constituents and Nigerians at large on the arrival of the New Year 2026, calling for unity, collective responsibility and sustained progress.
In his New Year message, Abejide described 2026 as a year of fresh opportunities to consolidate previous gains, empower the youth, and promote economic stability anchored on inclusive growth. He reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to championing people-oriented policies and legislations that would accelerate development across Yagba communities and the entire federal constituency.
The lawmaker also noted emerging signs of economic recovery at the national level, attributing the positive outlook to ongoing reforms targeted at stabilising the economy and fostering sustainable growth.
He reiterated his dedication to effective representation at the National Assembly, stressing that impactful governance and improved livelihoods can only be achieved through purposeful legislation. Abejide further assured constituents that the security of Yagbaland remains a top priority of his legislative engagement.
Abejide urged Nigerians to continue to support the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, as well as Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Usman Ododo, in the implementation of critical policies aimed at strengthening the economy and securing a prosperous future for the nation and the state.
He emphasised that unity and progress remain Nigeria’s greatest strengths, calling on citizens to embrace tolerance, hope and mutual respect despite diversity. The federal lawmaker wished Nigerians—particularly the people of Yagba Federal Constituency and Kogi State—a year of peace, prosperity, progress and renewed hope in 2026.
