The Onyi Ododo Forum in New Zango, Adavi Local Government, has distributed cash and clothing to 500 of its members. The initiative aims to strengthen their businesses and improve their livelihoods.
The event began with an opening prayer led by the Chief Imam of Ebiraland, Alhaji Salihu Abere, who led attendees in prayers for the safety and peace of the region. He also offered prayers for the late father of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, Alhaji Ahmed Alabi Ododo.
Hon. Sule Jimoh Ozovehe, the APC Chairmanship candidate for Adavi, unveiled a billboard endorsing Governor Ododo for the 2027 election and donated one hundred thousand Naira to support the governor’s re-election bid.
In his welcome address, the forum’s Stakeholder Chairman, Hon. Abdullahi Tijani—who also serves as a Ward Special Assistant to the Governor—thanked God for the event and acknowledged the sustained support of Hon. Kashim Ododo, the Governor’s Special Adviser on Domestic Affairs. Tijani credited the success of the empowerment program to the efforts of three Ward Special Assistants and expressed hope that further opportunities from the state government would allow for even greater support to members.
Mallam Musari Salawu, Chairman of the Onyi Ododo Forum, praised the generosity of the Governor’s mother, Hajia Habibat Ahmed Ododo. He advised beneficiaries to use the funds wisely and assured those not included in this round that they would be considered in a subsequent phase.
