A technology hub in Lokoja the capital of Kogi State, Brainpals, has urged parents, political leaders, caregivers and other Stakeholders to equip their wards and dependants with Skills of the future.
The Chief Technology Officer and Proprietor of Brainpals, Mr. Famous Emeka gave the assertion in Lokoja in an address during the institute’s Kids and Teen Techfest and graduation ceremony for Cohorts 36 and 37.
He noted that the mission of the school is to empower future generations by driving innovation through top-tier Coding education, automation, Smsoftware engineering, and ICT consultancy.
“Our mission is to drive innovation, equipping individuals and organizations for success in the dynamic digital realm through what we offer, which is a wide range of services and products such as Web development, web designs, corporate software solutions, and software learning resources. What make our services different is that we pay attention to customer satisfaction.
“At Brainpals, our vision is to pioneer a transformative digital landscape where innovation converges with impact. We envisage a future where cutting-edge technologies are not just tools, but catalysts for positive change,” he noted.
The event marked the completion of training for a new group of learners drawn from different age levels, with technology industry leaders, educators, parents and other stakeholders in attendance.
The founder further noted that Brainpals trains learners in digital literacy, game design, coding, graphics design, IoT and robotics, Python, data analysis, web design, digital marketing, cybersecurity, software engineering, Autocad, database management, data science and mobile programming. The programmes run through virtual and physical sessions. The school says its students come from America, the UK, Canada and other regions.
He said the school works with nursery, primary and secondary schools in Kogi State. He said their goal is to give learners strong digital knowledge and confidence with computers. He added that the institute operates throughout the day to meet the needs of international students and others who seek digital training.
He also said Brainpals is partnering with organisations, including the National Youth Service Corps, to train graduates, workers and job seekers.
A major moment of the event was the presentation of certificates to graduating students and other outstanding pupils. Many of them received applause for their performance and progress in their training.
Students demonstrated what they learned during the programme. They presented tasks in machine learning, website design, programming, graphics design, database management, cybersecurity, robotics, coding, digital literacy, Python programming, mobile programming, app design and software engineering.
Some of the strongest presentations came from children between the ages of five and eight. Their confidence and skill surprised many of the guests and strengthened Brainpals’ claim of preparing learners for the digital space.
Stakeholders expressed admiration for the show of cognate knowledge demonstrated by the students and urged government to support the institution to do more to better future of the next generation.
