Edison Atumeyi Edime, a renowned Political Activist and Youths Advocate, has called on the Kogi State Government and all relevant security agencies to strengthen their fight against the rising cases of kidnapping across the state.
In his statement, Edime expressed deep concern over the increasing insecurity, especially the recent incidents of abduction along major roads within Kogi State. He emphasized that the safety of citizens must remain the top priority of every responsible government.
He further appealed to the state authorities, local vigilante groups, and community leaders to work in synergy to curb criminal activities and restore peace, particularly in rural communities and highways.
According to Edime, “The government and security operatives must put more effort, deploy intelligence, and show stronger commitment to protecting lives and properties. Kogi people deserve to travel, trade, and live without fear.”
He also urged the youths to remain law-abiding and support all initiatives aimed at maintaining peace and security in the state.
