Special Adviser to Kogi State Governor on Youth and Student Matters, Amb. Oladele Nihi, has called on young people to embrace self reliance and consider things they can do legitimately to make ends meet instead of waiting for government jobs.

Nihi made the call when he played host to two young entrepreneurs, Agagwu Israel and Yahaya Sani, at the OJN Foundation secretariat in Lokoja on Monday.

These two young men jointly founded a business and are selling well-packaged bean cake, popularly known as Akara, but they have chosen to call their own ‘akala anana’, which is bean cake in the Igala language.

Nihi commended their efforts in looking inward and showcasing what idle Kogi or Nigerian youths can do.

He also promised that OJN Foundation will partner with and support them to ensure their business succeeds.
