Active participation in democracy entails getting the benefits attached to it. But the good people of Ogege community in Dekina local government area of Kogi state continue to be denied of these dividends of democracy since the return of democracy in 1999.
We have always been very active in voting into power the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Ahmed Bola Tinubu the Senator representing Kogi East Senatorial District, Alhaji Jibril Isah Echocho and House of Assembly member representing Dekina Bassa Federal Constituency, House of Assembly Member representing Dekina/Biraidu, Hon Adejoh Ochidi State Constituency, Hon Chairman, Dekina Local Government Council, Hon John urah Ikani, Councilor Dekina ward, Alhaji Ajogwu Akpelu first son, Dekina Council Ward but nothing tangible is coming our way as dividends of democracy.
The Ogege community has been rehabilitating the road through community efforts since over a decade now.
We are calling on Dekina Local Government chairman, John Urah Ikani, Kogi State Government, the Federal Republic of Nigeria and all well meaning humanitarian bodies and NGOs to come to the aid of Ogege community under Dekina local government area of Kogi state, Nigeria.
These roads are not meant to be used by people who always play key role in the emergence of any government that comes into power since 1999 in digital world.
With these bad roads, we are consistently being attacked by suspected Fulani herdsmen militia since 1998. No good road networks for prompt intervention by security agencies during these attacks. Our crops are always perishing as a result of poor roads.
We are calling on all and sundry to help us campaign for the rehabilitation and construction of Ogege Ajakabu roads to save us from this hardship.
