In Abraham Lincoln’s letter to his son’s tutor; one of the greatest men who ever lived on planet earth did write — ” Teach him if you can that the 10 cents earned is of far more value than a dollar found.”
This excerpt, indubitably, encapsulates a sense of striking similitude, when depicting the life of a self – made entrepreneur cum Philanthropist, Hon. Chief Femi Stephen Owoniyi aka (Omoga) who is yet celebrating another impactful year.
As one would expect, it is not a milestone birthday celebration, but of essence is the effervescence of a man who may, somewhat, have seen it all when it comes to scaling huddles from zero to hero, especially having being born without a bronze spoon.
Very often, the humility – personified Femi Omoga is quick to discuss his humble background. Little wonder why he is more passionate about impacting lives, having being there, and know what it takes to be poverty – striken.
For real, I’m using this medium to rhapsodise a very successful business mogul whose success story is that of grass to grace, so that the younger generation can tap from, most especially, in this era where get- rich – quick syndrome occasioned by the spate of cybercrime and other reprehensible vices.
Truth is that certain things about some personalities of goodwill should, of imperativeness, be brought to the fore, willy- nilly; else, we wreck a havoc on the society. It was Martin Luther jnr who said, – ” our lives begin to end the day we become silent about the things that matters.”
Undoubtedly, Hon. Omoga’s life experience centres on staying focused on the goal of achieving greatness. Perhaps, he does believe that when there is a vision, there is provision.
For the records, in July 2025, the Kogi state governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo meritoriously appointed Hon. Owoniyi as Special Adviser (Political Matters), having being strategically fingered out based on his track record of exemplary leadership skills, which has largely been etched on human & capital development.
This rare personality scored another first in the political annals of Kogi State’ by immediately engaging 71 aides with his monthly salaries. The second payment took place few days ago!
There could not be a better way to demonstrate humanitarianism, a forte at which he is truly a living legend and leading light.
