Kogi State Police Command and the National Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has renewed commitment to collaborative approach in the fight against crimes and criminality in the state.
The security agencies made this known when CP Miller Dantawaye played host to the newly deployed NSCDC Commandant, Aletan Olumide Ebenezer, at the Command Headquarters, Lokoja.
Commandant Aletan stated that the purpose of his visit is to seek for continued partnership and synergy between the Police and NSCDC in Kogi state.
Stressing the importance of synergy among security agencies in confronting criminality and other threats to public safety, the NSCDC Commandant said intelligence sharing and collaborative approach are essentials in security management.

In his response, CP Dantawaye thanked the commandant for the visit. He emphasized that inter-agency collaboration is necessary to improve security in the state. He added that the visit provided a collaborative environment that allowed security agencies to contribute ideas for improved policing and community safety.
He said collaboration is of mutual benefit to warrant serious commitments by responding to emergencies and provide public safety services to communities.
The CP further stated that timely flow of critical intelligence is key for effective crime prevention management.
He also re-emphasized the need for a strategic partnership in intelligence sharing to foster more proactive approach in security management, noting that effective collaboration leads to improved security.
