Rector, Kogi State Polytechnic, Professor Salisu Ogbo Usman, has called on appointees of government to collaborate with one another to achieve common goals.
He made the call when he played host to the Forum of Senior Special Assistants from Kogi East on Tuesday.
Prof. Usman commended the Forum for its collective vision and determination to contribute meaningfully to the growth of the state.
He urged the body to align its decisions and programmes with the success of the administration of Governor Usman Ododo, noting that such strategic partnership is the pathway to greater impact in governance and development.
The Rector warned against the politics of bitterness and hatred, usually weaponized to collapse harmony, and stressed that only unity can guarantee a stronger, more prosperous Kogi State. He pledged his unwavering support to the Forum, affirming that he will always stand with initiatives that promote peace, cooperation, and collective progress.
Speaking on behalf of the Forum, the Chairman, Hon. Isah Ojodunwene, expressed gratitude to the Rector for his fatherly counsel, open-door policy, and steadfast encouragement.
He affirmed that the Forum would continue to promote unity and a positive narrative in service to Governor Usman Ododo and the people of Kogi State.
On his part, the Public Relations Officer of the Forum, Hon. Promise Emmanuel (Kogi Rebel), extolled Professor Ogbo’s steadfastness as a rising light of Kogi East.
He described the Rector as “a refined addition to the leadership pool of our zone, distinct from the baggage of the past, and a true source of inspiration to the younger generation.”

Emmanuel noted that Prof. Ogbo has emerged not only as an administrator but also as a symbol of unity and courage in leadership, qualities Kogi East must continue to celebrate and emulate.
The visit, which was part of the Forum’s broader vision of engaging stakeholders across sectors, reaffirmed its commitment to collaboration, capacity-building, and the pursuit of development-driven governance in Kogi State.
