Yagba West LG Chairman Relaxes Restriction on Motorcycle, Tricycle Operators

Yagba West Local Government Council has relaxed the previously imposed operational time restrictions on motorcycle and tricycle operators within the area.

This is contained in a press release signed by the Chief Press Secretary, Yagba West Local Government Area, Adeyemi Babarinde Sunday on Saturday.

According to the statement, the Council Chairman, Hon. Tosin Olokun, said the decision follows a comprehensive review of the security situation, which indicates a significant improvement in safety and stability.

The statement added that commercial motorcycle and tricycle operations will henceforth be permitted to ply their trade from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. daily.

The Council commended the collaborative efforts of security agencies, community leaders, transport unions, and residents, whose vigilance and cooperation have contributed to the improved security climate.

While the restriction has been eased, the Council urged riders to operate within the bounds of the law and remain security-conscious.
