Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, has been commended for acquiring mining licenses and also purchasing mining equipment for the state.
The Managing Director of Meena Technology Nigeria, Mr Imole Okuntimo, expressed joy that the administration of Governor Ododo has taken the path of economic recovery by diversifying the revenue sources of the state.
He appreciated the Ododo-led administration for adopting sustainable practices in the mining sector, improving mine planning by leveraging on technology, and addressing environmental and social impact.
He also commended the Commissioner for Solid Minerals, Engr Bashir Gegu, for pioneering this all important initiative.
“Kogi State is the home base of over thirty known mineral resources in the country. We cannot leave them unharnessed,” he said.
Mr Okuntimo also thanked the people of Kogi State for their continued support and prayers for the success of the administration of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo while reiterating the support of his organization in ensuring the Kogi state’s efforts towards economic diversification yields the desired gains.
