‘My Brother and Ally’: Ododo, Yahaya Bello Celebrates Senator Abubakar Ohere at 59

Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo has described Senator Abubakar Sadiku Ohere as an extraordinary Kogi son and one of the key figures that have contributed immensely to the development of the state, serving in different capacities for the growth and development of the state.

In a goodwill message to commemorate Senator Ohere’s birthday, Governor Ododo said everyone is rejoicing with the celebrant because of the impacts his life has made on the lives of many others.

“You are a great leader, a staunch believer in the will of Almighty Allah, a man who believes in hard work and dedication to the service of the people

“When you look back, you will see many reasons to thank God for keeping you healthy and sound till today. I pray to God to continue to bless you with long life, good health, prosperity. May you celebrate many more years in the light of greatness(Ameen),” Governor Ododo prayed.

In similar vein, the immediate past Governor of Kogi state, Alhaji Yahaya Bello described Senator Ohere as “my brother and loyal ally”

“Happy 59th birthday, my dear Senator Abubakar Ohere – a steadfast leader and a shining example of dedication to public service. I am honoured to extend warmest wishes to you and your family on this day.

“Your tireless efforts to uplift and empower communities have left an indelible mark on countless lives – and your sacrifice, wisdom and commitment to our nation, and to the cause of our New Direction political family have been inspiring.

“I recall with great fondness your remarkable contributions in my administration, where you served with distinction in multiple capacities.

“As Special Adviser on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, you brought your expertise to bear in strengthening local governance and advancing community development.

“Your subsequent appointment as Honourable Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs further showcased your capabilities and dedication.

“Later, as our Commissioner for Works and Housing, you oversaw critical infrastructure projects that transformed the development and commercial landscape of Kogi State.

“In all, your commitment to excellence earned you widespread respect and recognition, and it was no surprise, therefore, when you transited to the National Assembly – where you were equally impressive as the Distinguished Senator represent Kogi Central.

“Beyond your professional achievements, I cherish the personal relationship we have built over the years on the foundations of mutual respect, trust, and a shared passion for a better Nigeria.

“Abu, you are more than a colleague to me – you are a brother, friend, confidant, and a true partner in progress. Your integrity, humility, and kindness are always appreciated,” the former Governor said.

Bello prayed that the Almighty God to continue blessing Senator Ohere with good health and wisdom, as well as higher heights in life and service.
