91 Traffic Violators Fined in Kogi

A total of 91 traffic violators have been fined by the mobile court of the Federal Road Safety Commission Kogi State command.

The Sector Commander of FRSC, Mr. Godwin Omiko said in Lokoja that the operation was part of effort to reduce carnage and deaths on the country’s highways. Omiko said the command has deployed officers to strategic routes, including the Gegu -Abaji, Koton Karfe -Gegu, Lokoja- Koton Karfe Zariagi -Lokoja and Okene-Zariagi.

The FRSC boss stated that 113 offences were committed ranging from dangerous driving, overloading, refusal to use seat belt, use of phone while driving and others.
