The Vice Chancellor of Kogi State University, Kabba, Professor K.I.T. Eniola, fNSM, FRA, has congratulated Nigerians on the occasion of the nation’s 65th Independence Anniversary, urging renewed dedication to patriotism, sacrifice, and quality service as the foundation for national progress.
In a statement made available to newsmen in Kabba, Professor Eniola noted that independence was secured through the courage and vision of Nigeria’s founding fathers. He emphasized that the present task is for citizens to unlock the vast resources of the nation as well as the creativity, innovation, and resilience of its people.
The Vice Chancellor reiterated his call for students and staff of the institution to see themselves as active change agents committed to shaping the Nigeria they desire, noting that it is time for Nigerians to repatriate acquired skills and experience and deploy same for the advancement of the lot of the country. He affirmed that Kogi State University, Kabba, has positioned itself as a community where both students and members of staff alike are groomed to becoming solution providers who are globally competitive, nationally relevant, and locally impactful.
Professor Eniola also called on good-spirited individuals and corporate bodies to partner with Kogi State University, Kabba, in its aspirations to become a distinct force of intellectual rebirth, innovative learning, and a hub for future-ready digital entrepreneurial education that will raise a new generation of leaders and solution providers for the country.
He commended the Government of Kogi State under the leadership of His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, for sustaining an enabling environment where the ideals of independence find practical expression in the growth and development of the University.
