Dignitaries from across the nation gathered in the Federal Capital Territory on Sunday to observe the 40th day prayers for late Alhaji Mohammed Ibrahim Idris, son of former Kogi State Governor, Alh. Ibrahim Idris.
The solemn event was attended by elite figures from various walks of life who came to pay their respects and offer condolences to the bereaved Idris family. Among those present was Dr. Ali Ajuh, who eulogized the deceased and prayed for the repose of his soul.
“Alhaji Mohammed’s passing remains a tremendous blow,” stated Dr. Ajuh somberly. “He was a bright young man with a brilliant future ahead of him. His death is a great tragedy and an immense loss.”
Dr. Ajuh, offered special prayers for the family left behind by the late Alhaji Mohammed. He implored the Almighty to grant them strength, perseverance, and solace during their time of profound grief.
The 40th day prayers, a significant Islamic tradition honoring the deceased, were held amidst an atmosphere of melancholy. Attendees from various social and political circles extended their heartfelt sympathies to the Idris family, sharing in their bereavement.
Late Hon. Mohammed Ibrahim Idris represented the Ankpa/Omala/Olamaboro federal constituency in the House of Representatives from 2011 to 2015. Tragically, the former legislator collapsed and passed away after observing Eid prayers in Abuja on April 10th, 2024.
