Despite not been in charge of the affairs of Kogi/Koton Karfe local government area of Kogi State before the early March dissolution; the security challenges, travel threat, obstruction to peace as well as the progress of Lokoja – Abuja abound local government is sooner than thought becoming a thing of the past under the stewardship of Hon Isah Abdulkarim (ECOMOG) as the Senior Special Assistant(SSA) to the Kogi State Governor on Security Matters for Kogi/Koton Karfe local government area.
After taking over the mantle of security affairs of the local Government, he swung into programs with upmost priority to security in line with his mandate, and in tandem of his vision for the land of his birth.
While giving safety of lives and property of the citizenry with the adoption of open door policy and improved feedback mechanism, crime has not only drastically missed into the thin air but gradually becoming alien to the people of the area as against the past couple of years.
To say the least, ECOMOG has given leadership back to the people by awakening them with a deep sense of belonging, egalitarianism, humility and consultative disposition across Local Government as evident in his “one on one” engagements with over twenty associations, youth bodies, ethnic embers and pressure groups since his assumption of Office exactly thirty(30) days ago.
The Governor’s security aide has also brought sanity in the security system by manning the security architectures with synergy and needed supports. With this, KKF Leads From The Front, Burns With Pride.
This achievement is no doubt traceable to his unique courtesy call visits to relevant authorities comprising of the military, civil defense, mobile police squad and vigilante group in a bid to familiarize and chat a new security system for Kogi/Koton Karfe people’s safety of lives and properties.
This feet, many applauded as a welcome development to remedy herdsmen and farmers clashes, chase off highway bandits, end issues of local robbery and restore lasting peace to the land. True with these exceptions, it came to pass and the Idealist behind the breakthrough, Hon Isah Abdulkarim (ECOMOG) is advancing to other critical sectors.
With the emergence of the global COVID-19 pandemic in Nigeria, without any case noticed in Kogi State, the proactive ECOMOG is one of the few people of goodwill that has brought their philanthropy to bear in the form of efforts toward preventing contraction of the disease.
Suffice to say that in addition to the sudden disappearance of kidnappers and notorious criminals hitherto disturbing commuters on Abuja-Lokoja highway, the capturing of several Kidnap lords, he equally procured and donated about five hundred hand sanitizers, face masks and electronic thermometer to the general hospital, Koton Karfe.
Whereas honorable deeds are not done by chicken hearted fellow but men and women who are not afraid of adventures, the stewardship of Hon Isah Abdulkarim thus far in the last thirty days as the Senior Special Assistant to the Kogi State Governor on Security Matters(KKF) doesn’t only reveal his intellectual prowess cum administrative potentials but goes a long way to show that Kogi/Koton Karfe is in a safe hand, ready and committed to the development of the area. Hence, the need keep giving him the much needed support to succeed.
Congratulations KKF, ECOMOG is a new dawn.
