A senior magistrate court in sitting in Lokoja, Kogi has remanded a 28-year old mechanic in prison for kidnapping and raping a 13-year old girl for five days.
The man, Abdulkadir Salihu was ordered by Justice Joyce Abdulmalik on Wednesday, October 29, 2014 after he was arraigned on a 2-count charge of kidnapping and rape which were punishable under Sections 273 and 283 of the Penal Code Law.
Salihu was said to have accosted the victim (names withheld) on Thursday, October 16, 2014 around 1:25 pm when she was sent on an errand enticing her to his house on Agbai Street, keeping her for five days and having non-consensual sex with her during her time.
The accused has been remanded in medium security federal prisons, Korton-Karfe and will be recalled to the court on Monday, November 10, 2014.
