The people of Kabba have been expressing serious concerns about the marginalization of our community, both at the federal and state levels, under the current administration. Despite the contributions Kabba has made to the growth and development of our state and nation, we have been left behind when it comes to key political appointments and the allocation of resources. While we acknowledge and appreciate the few appointments granted to some individuals from Kabba, it is clear that our community’s representation in both the federal and state governments has been significantly inadequate.
As we approach the 2027 general elections, it has become increasingly apparent that Kabba must awaken from its current political slumber. Our people must unite, speak with one voice, and advocate for the progress and welfare of Kabba. We must come together in peace and solidarity, understanding that only by working collectively can we successfully rally support for candidates from our community running for offices such as Senator, House of Representatives, and State House of Assembly.
In the past, divisions within Kabba have allowed other communities to exploit our internal conflicts, using them against us. Many of us now find ourselves regretting past decisions and actions, and are eager to retrace our steps in order to ensure that Kabba is not left behind in the future. This self-inflicted marginalization has led to a noticeable lack of political appointments and influence, causing frustration and dissatisfaction among the youth and elders alike. It is no longer acceptable for Kabba to remain on the sidelines of political and governance matters.
The lack of political representation and appointments has left Kabba voiceless in important discussions and decision-making processes at both the state and federal levels. This is a matter of urgent concern, as we have witnessed the negative consequences of our community’s absence from key government platforms. It is critical that we address this issue immediately, and take steps to ensure that Kabba is no longer sidelined.
In light of these issues, we, the Concerned Youths of Kabba, are calling on Governor Ododo to take immediate action by appointing qualified indigenes of Kabba into his cabinet. This move will help to rectify the current imbalance and provide our community with the much-needed representation and influence it deserves. Kabba has a rich history of political, economic, and social contributions, and it is time that we are given our rightful place in governance.
We strongly believe that the political future of Kabba rests on our ability to come together, set aside differences, and work towards a common goal. The 2027 elections present an opportunity for us to reshape our future, and we must not allow our disunity to be our downfall. Let us stand united, not only for the benefit of our generation but for the generations to come.
We call on all political leaders, traditional rulers, youth organizations, and every concerned Kabba citizen to come together and support this cause. We must ensure that Kabba is adequately represented at all levels of government in 2027, so that our voices can be heard, our needs addressed, and our community can thrive.
