With the historic emergence of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces in 2023, Nigeria turned a decisive page in its political journey. After years of stagnation, misrule, and regressive governance, Nigerians collectively crossed their own metaphorical “Red Sea” — breaking free from the grip of failed leadership models and embracing a new era of national consciousness and development, a nation delivered from political bondage.
Today, the people of this nation stand firm in their resolve: they will not return their hard-earned mandate to the same corrupt, wicked, and ruinous groups that once brought the country to its knees.
When President Tinubu assumed office, the realities on the ground were grim. The nation was shackled by economic instability, a deeply entrenched culture of corruption, widespread insecurity, crumbling infrastructure, and mass unemployment particularly among the youth.
In less than two years, his administration has laid down concrete foundations for recovery. From economic reforms and fiscal restructuring to renewed attention on agriculture, power, and infrastructure, President Tinubu’s “Renewed Hope” Agenda is beginning to bear fruit.
The Tinubu administration has demonstrated an unusual level of political courage. The removal of the fuel subsidy and the overhaul of the foreign exchange regime were not populist decisions, they were necessary reforms aimed at resetting the economy and ending decades of unsustainable fiscal practices. Though these reforms came with temporary discomfort, the long term gains are beginning to manifest.
Unlike the empty theatrics of previous administrations, this government has chosen focused governance over political grandstanding. It is delivering quietly but consistently, from infrastructure expansion to social safety programs for the vulnerable.
As the 2027 general election approaches, the political landscape is once again seeing familiar patterns. Those who failed Nigeria in the past, the same actors who mismanaged public resources, abandoned critical projects, and turned governance into a theatre of propaganda — are now returning under new coalitions and rebranded slogans. But Nigerians remember.
They remember looted treasuries. They remember the impunity. They remember insecurity left to fester. They remember when leadership meant privilege, not service.
These fellows offer nothing new. Their history is a catalogue of betrayal, and their ambition is to return the country to a darker, dysfunctional era.
President Tinubu’s administration is not without its challenges, no government all over the world is. However, the trajectory is right, the reforms are necessary, and the intent to build a better Nigeria is evident in both policy and execution. The All Progressive Congress APC and Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is the clear choice in 2027.
Nigerians have crossed the “Red Sea” of dysfunction, deception, and decay. They are not prepared to return to the “Egypt” of bad governance. As 2027 nears, the real contest is not merely between political parties or personalities. It is a contest between, Progress and regression, Vision and revisions, courage and cowardice Nation building and nation breaking
In 2023, Nigerians gave President Tinubu a very popular mandate based on trust and hope. In 2027, they are poised to renew that mandate based on performance and results.
Let those who destroyed yesterday never again be entrusted with shaping tomorrow.
Nigeria has chosen to move forward, not backward……
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu till 2031 !
