2027 political journey is just a stone throw from here! It will amount to a futile effort trying to be eulogistic of what some of the aspirants eyeing the much coveted House of Representative position have in stock.
This is so, because constituents have long pitched tent with the incumbent, Hon. (Arc) Salman Idris, who have so far exemplify competence, capacity, intellectual wherewithal, legislative awareness, proactivity, stewardship, accountability and most importantly, feeling the pulses of his constituents where it matters most.
Democracy has come to stay in our clime. All efforts must be made to ensure it’s seamless substanability.
What however, matters most is when the dividends of democracy gets to the grassroot level.
To the glory of God, the peoples’ servant, Salman Idris is wholly committed, passionate and undistracted in delivering on the promises made to his constituents.
Albeit, lawmakers primary responsibility is to legislate laws that has positive impact on the society. Any other input from them is an addendum.
During plenaries, the affable lawmaker from Kabba -Bunu/ Ijumu Federal Constituency hasn’t been associated with the bandwagon of ‘sidon look’ lawmakers! He has always taken the front burner in contributing meaningfully to debates, motions, bills and oversight functions.
In view of the myriad of challenges bedeviling Kabba -Bunu/ Ijumu Federal Constituency, he has taken it as a topmost priority to always put his people first. This assertion couldn’t be disputed considering the numerous projects he has facilitated within a very short time in office vis- a -vis road maintenance and reconstruction, provision of solar – powered boreholes in remote villages where electricity supply is inexistent, construction of bridges linking communities, construction of classroom blocks and equipped, periodic provision of food incentives, distribution of motorcycles to party faithfuls, rehabilitation of health care centres, joint collaboration efforts in facilitating Compressed Natural Gas CNG and Electric Car Charging hub, facilitation of employment opportunities etc.
For these and many more people – centric development strides in Kabba – Bunu /Ijumu Federal Constituency, the warmth and approachable lawmaker has done creditably well in giving back to the society that trusted him with their social mandate.
In fact, projects facilitation has been the hallmark of his two years stay in the green dome.
It is for these reasons that politically- inclined and appreciative people of his constituency has come out in their large numbers to support his 2nd term candidacy in 2027.
They opined that if good representation & governance is the yardstick to assessing their elected representative, then Hon. Salman Idris has surpassed expectations.
Undeterred, these set of patriotic individuals have resolved to disseminate the good deeds of Hon. (Arc) Salman Idris (FNIA) house 2 house, because the reward for doing good should be reciprocated with another term.
