Alh Abass Ibrahim Linco Ocheje, a Kogi State House of Assembly candidate, Ankpa II Constituency, for the 2023 general election, has pledged to develop the constituency if elected.
Hon Abass said that if given the opportunity, he would attract development projects that would transform the constituency in the area of education, infrastructure and industrial development, sports, health, and other critical sector that can benefit his zone.
Abass made this known on Tuesday in a statement entitled “Agenda For Ankpa II Constituency, Kogi State” signed and made available to journalists.
He said, “I pledged to be the embodiment of the true Ojoku/Enjema spirit of selflessness, responsibility, fairness, courage, hard work, and commitment to Social Justice if elected and this can only come true with the help of your vote.”
According to him, my desire to represent my dear Ojoku/Enjema people at the State House of Assembly, come 2023 is that I will leave no stone unturned to enhance the growth and development of the Constituency.
He stated that the development aspects can be achieved through sponsoring and Co-sponsoring relevant bills and motions that will impact positively on the good people of the Ankpa II constituency.
“Facilitating gainful employment and access to poverty reduction schemes of the State and Local Governments. Attracting Investments and encouraging the establishment of Small-Scale business concerns to utilize the abundant raw materials and manpower in Ankpa 11 State Constituency.
“Also advocating for literacy excellence at all levels of education through financial support for students in the full-time study”, he said.
While speaking on agriculture, he noted that agriculture is the mainstay of the Ojoku/Enjema economy and it will be given holistic attention.
He said “Aside from support to farmers through the purchase of seedlings, implements, insecticides, and equipment for primary processing. I will ensure that Ojoku/ Enjema farmers get their fair share of available resources and opportunities.”
On art and culture, he explained that arts, culture, music, and capacity-building initiatives will be supported and promoted to empower our artisans, artists, and other creative minds, Institutions, and activities.
“Also maintaining a positive working synergy with the leaders, the youths, and community organization. Community development program including market development and small credit scheme to benefit Market Women”, he said.
