As the build up to 2023 presidential and other elections intensifies, a foremost gubernatorial aspirant and deputy governorship candidate of Social Democratic Party (SDP) in the 2019 Kogi election, Engr Khalid Adams, has called on Kogites to massively support Governor Yahaya Bello to become Nigeria’s next president.
Engr. Khalid made the revelation shortly after paying a courtesy call on the Governor in Abuja.
The former deputy governorship candidate described Bello as a common denominator for Kogites, stressing that his aspiration is a right step in the right direction.
He noted that the North Central have been marginalized for too long despite the support it has given to successive administrations’ electioneering processes, and hence the Bello Presidency is an aspiration for the zone to take her rightful place in Nigeria’s political decisions making.
Believing the dream of a Gov. Bello led Federal Government, he said inclusion of youths in governance, as it is in Kogi State today, will be a focal point of the administration Nigerians should envisage in 2023 and beyond.
“When GYB becomes PYB, there is no doubt that capable youths that have vast and patriotic credentials will be the average population of the Federal Executive Council just as we are witnessing in Kogi State today,” he said.
