Chairman of Kogi State Local Government Service Commission, Hon. Adabenege Adams has expressed confidence in Governor Yahaya Bello’s ability to lead Nigeria as President.
While reacting to the insistence of GYB2PYB youth support group that the Kogi Governor runs for presidency in 2023, Adams said after a careful assessment of Nigeria political firmament and his growing and glowing profile, Governor Bello has all it takes to contest for the highest political office in the country.
He stated that a golden fish has no hiding place, adding that Nigerian youths have decided to take their political destiny into their own hands thereby seeing in Governor Bello, a worthy ambassador that could reintegrate them in the mainstream central government when given the opportunity.
“Governor Yahaya Bello has proved beyond reasonable doubt that he has the capacity and mental ability to govern this country in a new direction. Kogi State is a mini-Nigeria and it takes a leader like Governor Bello with genuine intention and selfless purpose to perfectly govern it without issues.
“Gov. Bello’s human-centred policies in Kogi State have attracted national and international recognition and I believe he will replicate them as the President of the nation come 2023,” he said.
While urging Governor Bello to shun the antics of detractors, Adams expressed optimism that Bello’s 2023 presidency is a collective project for all patriots who has not given up hope on the Nigeria project.
Recall that a group named GYB2PYB Youth Support Group gave Governor Yahaya Bello 14-day ultimatum to declare his intention to run for the office of the President of Nigeria. Governor Bello had in a tactical response threw the challenge back to the group to mobilise themselves and massively register in the ongoing All Progressives Congress (APC) membership registration and revalidation in order to have a say in political decisions of the country.
